My thought: The possibility is distinctly there !
Not think they destroy humanity, but, could help propagate humanity. People will become more dependent, and, as a result less intelligent. Calculators a good example. As we become less involved in everything from work to play, sex will become more profound and we may see a larger and faster population growth than past History. Remember, we less intelligent then and Birth Control will require too much thought process. In work, older more experienced workers be less desirable and removed from the work force. With the help of Computers a less experienced person can still do the work of an older more experienced person. A few older people be kept around as a last resort problem fixer, but, they be few with the computers do the thinking. This could give rise to population control, as, the older people then need to be removed from society as they have become a burden not having a job, so, selective Termination will be used to eliminate the undesirables. That what Abortion all about; ''You must be Aborted''! That about all I know.

I am currently researching this topic. I have plans to construct a supercomputer with human-like qualities. I however must first overcome monumental obstacles to reach my ultimate goal. Nevertheless, I strongly believe that computers will one day have the potential to destroy the human race or to end life as we know it. It is only a matter of awaiting the arrival of that day.
i think we should treat artificial intelligence like the plague. maybe i'm being paranoid because of terminator and matrix but that scares me more than sharks and crocs.

Personally,I think computers are weaker than people and always will be.A long as they're a creation of people they have no power at all.Human will always rule.I believe that humans will destroy themselves in the end not computers.
