How to ';lan'; connect two computers?

Hi, I have two computers running xp and have a linksys wireless g broadband router model wrt54g. My other computer has a wireless connector and both are online. But, I can't seem to get a local game started with just us, or get into the other computer from the other one. So, how do I do it? Thanks for your time.

Alright yo udo need to run The network Setup wizard on all of your Pc's that you want to connect to. The biggest key to getting it all to work is that you make sure the NAME you provide for the WORKGROUP is the same on all the PC's. Once you have finished the wizard you should be set. The firewall will not be an issue once you run the wizard unless you have one running on your Router.

If you do than you need to set your router to allow file %26 print sharing between the PCs. you wil be set then. Enjoy!!

Is file and print sharing on? Are both computers in the same Workgroup? Is your Firewall turned on?

Assuming that you have windows xp installed on both the computers. Try running the network setup wizard from the control panel on both the computers. Provide some more info and we would be able to help you much better.
